Remote Worship – 04.12.2020 Easter! He Is Risen!

Opening: The Lord is risen! Alleluia!

Prayer:

O God, who for our redemption gave your only begotten Son to the death of the cross, and by his glorious resurrection delivered us from the power of our enemy: Grant us so to die daily to sin, that we may evermore live with him in the joy of his resurrection; through Jesus Christ your Son, our Lord who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God now and fore every. Amen

Welcome:  Greetings, in the name of Jesus.  Not only did Jesus rise from the dead 2000 years ago, he is risen today! He arose never to die. Welcome to this service of celebration.

Song for Worship and Reflection

Victory In Jesus

Chorus

O victory in Jesus
My Savior forever
He sought me and bought me
With His redeeming blood
He loved me ere I knew Him
And all my love is due Him
He plunged me to victory
Beneath the cleansing flood

Verse 1

I heard an old old story
How a Savior came from glory
How He gave His life on Calvary
To save a wretch like me
I heard about His groaning
Of His precious blood’s atoning
Then I repented of my sins
And won the victory

Verse 2

I heard about His healing
Of His cleansing pow’r revealing
How He made the lame to walk again
And caused the blind to see
And then I cried dear Jesus
Come and heal my broken spirit
And somehow Jesus came and brought
To me the victory

Verse 3

I heard about a mansion
He has built for me in glory
And I heard about the streets of gold
Beyond the crystal sea
About the angels singing
And the old redemption story
And some sweet day I’ll sing up there
The song of victory

Benediction

Now may the God of peace who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from he dead our Lord, Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.
