Community Meal Update

Thirteen more meals went out this week- this time to a group of first responders and law enforcement! Shout out to Erin G. for making the suggestion and the connection. We continue to help out those this pandemic has affected greatly, and where we (the people of Oasis) are already connected.

If you would like to contribute (or contribute again!), just go to PayPal and find the Oasis account at oasis.cc.donations@gmail.com. In the note section write, “Community Meal Fund.”

Unanswered Prayer Unthinkable

Shortly before Jesus was crucified, he prayed to the Father on behalf of the future church.  It’s unthinkable that the Father would not answer the prayer of his Son.  May we, the people of Oasis, join Jesus in his prayer and be a part of the answer.

Prayer of Jesus

“ I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.  (John 17:20-21)

Song for Reflection: Make Us One (Jesus Culture)

Chris Quilala

 One with the Father

One with the Spirit

One with the Son of God
One with our sister
One with our brother
One family by the blood

Make us one, make us one
Your will be done
Make us one

One heart with heaven
One mind connected
One body unified
Bind us together
Now and forever
Jesus be glorified

Make us one, make us one
Your will be done
Make us one
Oh, make us one, make us one
Your will be done
Oh, make us one

We confess all our offenses
We confess we’ve been afraid
We repent of all the pride
Let all the hurt be washed away
For all the wars and violence
Against our enemies
Come heal our land with your great river
Restore the family

Benediction

May the grace of Christ our Savior

and the Father’s boundless love,

with the Holy Spirit’s favor

rest upon us from above.

Thus may we abide in union

With each other and the Lord,

And Possess, in sweet communion,

Joys which earth cannot afford.

Amen.
